The National HBPA's Executive Committee will conduct its spring meeting beginning tonight, October 12, in Lexington, Kentucky. The two-day meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Lexington.
Guest speakers expected for the meeting include Joe Morris of NTRA Advantage, Mike Ziegler of the NTRA Safety & Integrity Alliance, as well as a representative from the Race Track Chaplaincy of America.
Also on the agenda are budget discussions, updates on medication issues (including where things stand with the RMTC/RCI proposed change to the model rule on Bute), updates from recent industry meetings where the HBPA was represented, future meeting locations, and other association business.
The National HBPA's full Board of Directors meet at its semi-annual conventions in the summer and winter, and the Executive Committee meets every spring and fall to address any business that needs to be handled between full Board meetings. Additional Board of Directors and/or Executive Committee meetings are held on an as-needed basis.
