The National HBPA's 2011 Winter Convention is set to commence this Thursday, March 17 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Spa in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The semi-annual meeting of the largest racing horsemen's representative association is hosted by the Arkansas HBPA and will run through Monday, March 21.
The convention will offer a number of informative speaker forums, as well as meetings of the committees and Board of Directors of the National HBPA. Those forums will include:
- Working with Your Track Partner to Monitor & Verify the Purse Account
- Modern Approaches to Successfully Managing Equine Partnerships
- Education and Opportunity on the Backstretch
- Revisiting the McKinsey Report 20 Years Later
In addition to the meetings, there will be a number of fun social opportunities for attendees, including at day at the races at Oaklawn Park and the Arkansas HBPA's annual dinner dance.
