New Blog by Owners Debuts Today on OwnerView

The OwnerView website has a new addition: a first-person blog called, “The Owner’s View.”

Featuring a variety of individual Thoroughbred owners, the blog, which makes its debut today, enables guest owners to offer their viewpoints about a multitude of ownership topics and at the same time provides new, current and prospective Thoroughbred owners with firsthand insights into the sport.

“Owner education is an ongoing pursuit of OwnerView,” said Gary Falter, vice president of operations for OwnerView. “This new blog furthers the exchange of ideas with guest owners offering their unique perspectives and provides other owners and the general public the opportunity to share comments.”

The blogs series kicks off with commentary from Cot Campbell, a pioneer of Thoroughbred partnerships since he started Dogwood Stable in 1969. Campbell estimates that Dogwood partnerships have brought 1,200 new owners to the sport. Equine standouts such as Summer Squall, Palace Malice, and Storm Song all wore the Dogwood colors.

New blogs by owners will be posted on the first and 15th of each month.

OwnerView is a joint effort, spearheaded by The Jockey Club and the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, to encourage ownership of Thoroughbreds and provide accurate information on trainers, public racing syndicates, the process of purchasing and owning a Thoroughbred, racehorse retirement, and owner licensing.
