Portland Meadows Horsemen Raising Money for Trainer James Easley

As we all know, a severe medical crisis can create an untold amount of anxiety, both mental and financial. One of our own, James Easley, had been stricken with a terminal illness in the form of a rare, incurable type of prostate cancer.

A group of concerned horsemen are organizing a benefit dinner in an attempt to alleviate some of this anxiety with a "from the many" effort.

Thus, we are seeking donations from a multi-faceted event which will include ticketed raffles, as well as a silent and live auction. The evening will also include additional fundraising endeavors. The event is going to be held at Portland Meadows on Oct. 13 following the races.

Any donations of items such as products, services and entertainment options are GREATLY appreciated. Anyone wishing to contribute to this event can talk to Jacqui Navarre, Steve Fisher, John Maloney, Debi Jahns, Debbie Ward or Sharon Balcom.

Any further information or documentation can be sent if requested. Again, we are not professionals but just a dysfunctional racetrack family trying to help out in a time off need!

Thank you for your time!
