The Virginia HBPA by mail ballot of its members elected a new 14-member Board (seven trainers and seven owners) for a three-year term. Twelve of the members were incumbents: Jill Gordon-Moore, Diana McClure, Susie Chatfield-Taylor, Susie Hart, Susan Cooney, Donna Dennehy, Carlos Garcia, David Ross, Stephanie Nixon, Nellie Cox, Robin Richards and Ernie Oare. Newly elected were Emily Day and Speedie Smithwick.
At its first meeting in January, the new Board elected as officers for the upcoming year: David Ross (President), Stephanie Nixon (Vice President), Jill Gordon-Moore (Treasurer) and Diana McClure (Secretary). Robin Richards did not stand for reelection as President because of her duties as NationalHBPA President.
